For Women - How to Buy Health Insurance Without Loosing Your Skirt

Filed Under (Health Insurance for Women) by admin on 08-05-2008

As a woman, I have been worried about not having health insurance.

Now admit it, have you been worried too? I know how to use a computer, so I was able to check out the online health insurance quotes on the Internet. I filled out a few forms but it was difficult to pick the right one for me, there were just too many choices! So why was I researching online health insurance quotes? I was recently laid off, my boss said he hated to let me go, but he had to lay some people off and since I was the last hired. Well you know how it goes. I found out I could not afford the Cobra Plan for continuing my group health insurance, no way for $585.00 per month! I was shocked to know that is how much my company had been paying for my individual health insurance. Guess a person does not really appreciate some things until they are gone. Like boyfriends, a good job and oh, a flattering hair style!

My biggest concern about shopping online for health insurance.

So how does a woman know if the health insurance quote you get is a good deal? I mean, we know if a handbag is a good deal or a business suit for work or a gift we buy off eBay, but health insurance? Also, I feel uncomfortable with insurance salespeople; I do not like being pressured to decide to buy something right now. So if you are like me, you can understand how we do not like to be pressured into a sale or sold. Why? Have you ever been in a mall and had a sales lady warmly greet you and smiling so much at you, she looks like her face hurts? Then she follows you around the store and won’t leave you alone to shop? I have, I hate it, bet you do too and we can not wait to get away from her, right? So I get the same feeling about insurance, especially health insurance sales people.

So here I am unemployed, with only unemployment pay.

I am really in need of really cheap health insurance. I got a really bad scare recently. A long time and close friend of mine did not have health insurance through the small business she worked for and got stuck with an enormous medical bill! I will not tell you what she had, just that she is recovering and will be returning to work soon. But her retirement fund is going to be drained dry when she pays that huge medical bill. Her retirement account is will be almost empty! That is so terrible, she has worked so hard and now this!

I had figured to chance not having health insurance for a while.

I was just looking for short term health insurance until I get a new job. But after what happened to my good friend, I can not chance it. I am much older than her and do not want to fall victim to a health catastrophe. Now, I am scared and just do not feel safe without some kind of health insurance. So again, I went out to the internet looking for a decent website that could give me an inexpensive health insurance plan. I was afraid to wait and wanted a short term health insurance plan to tide me over and protect me until I get a good job with a group health insurance plan. I warmed up my Mac computer and got online and went looking for a good, inexpensive, low monthly premium health insurance plan. One that I could afford without losing my skirt!

Before I had bookmarked a few websites to return to.

So I went to those first. But I was getting frustrated with slow loading insurance sites, you know the ones I mean. You can go grab a soda and check your mail while they load! Anyway, after searching and being frustrated by filling out forms that did not send my information, I finally found a couple good websites to submit my informaiton to and get a good quote. A high quality site generally makes it easy to find the information you want. After browsing the sites I located information on different types of insurance and on health insurance providers.

Stuff a woman needs to know to make an intelligent decision about buying health insurance.

The websites online covered all sorts of things you would want to read about, like HMO, PPO, health saver plans. As I searched the sites I noticed there were many different insurance providers! That made me feel like I needed help since there were so many good providers.

Great now I was ready to check out their Privacy Policy.

The website listed their privacy policy all clear and in black and white, just like it should be and that made me feel safe too. When I was browsing I found that many sites have all 50 states coverage. I looked at the health insurance page for quotes and followed their easy instructions on How to get your fast health insurance quote. I clicked in the area of the form that said, fill in your zip code and filled it in. I filled in my personal information and clicked the submit button. I received confirmation of the personal information and that they would be getting in contact with me right away with more information about my health insurance quotes.

I was happy to find the agents were easy to deal with.

They really wanted to help. That made me feel good and like I was being properly cared for. No high pressure just good advice and easy to understand answers to my not so smart insurance questions. I felt good and really took my time, I even was able to buy my policy online! So after paying for my health insurance this month, how much money do I have left or so, how short is my skirt?

Well, a little higher than just above the knee..

I really hope are in style again! But you know what? I feel good about my short-term health insurance. This will work for me to tide me over and keep me safe until I get a good job with health insurance again. I know my retirement money is safe and will not be taken from me because I got stuck without health insurance. I love taking good care of myself and I hope you do too. So if you are a woman and need health insurance, please take care of yourself. Please be safe, and just click on the link below and go to the website and fill in your zip code Well, here’s to your having great looking legs, you’ll need them, since your skirt is a wee bit shorter!

For Men - How to Buy Health Insurance Without Loosing Your Shirt

Filed Under (Health Insurance For Men) by admin on 08-05-2008

Have you checked out the cheap Internet health insurance quotes yet?

Too bad, you might have saved some money. But then again. How does a person know if the health insurance quote you get is a good deal? Are you like me and just hate salesmen and saleswomen that call you and want to sell you something? I mean, I understand they have to make a living too, but can’t they do it at someone elses place on someone elses phone? I have the do not call thing activated but I still get those telemarketer sales calls. You know the ones that start out with. Is Your Name at home? And they pronounce your name wrong and right off the bat, you know it is a telemarketer. I usually am nice, unless they keep insisting. Then watch out. But usually I will just say, Please take me off your list. Then I just hang up. More than once I have had them say, Wait I need to contact (me, pronounced wrong again) and it really bugs me, oh and by the way, they usually do not call me back. Sometimes I do think they get paid by how long they can keep you on the phone!

So, yah, I do have a problem with real estate agents. And water conditioner salespeople, phone calling mutual fund brokers, kirby vacuum cleaner sales people, and door to door sellers. Oh and let us not forget those people that go around handing out pamphlets. But, I really do hate the insurance sales people the worst.

Why? Because I do not like being pressured to buy something. Have you ever been in a store and had a salesperson greet you and follow you around the store like a dog? I have, I hate it, bet you do too and we can not wait to get out of the store, right? So that brings me to insurance sales, especially health insurance sales people.

Recently I lost my job. My job was with a great company for two years. I did a good job or so the boss said, but I got downsized anyway, like so many people in America these days. I was offered to try to keep my health insurance but checked and could not afford the Cobra insurance premiums; heck what do they expect? That you can afford to pay the health insurance premiums that your employer was paying? Mine was $585.00 per month for a single person! Can’t really swing that on what I get for unemployment now. So what is a person to do? Not eat?

Well, I thought maybe I would chance not having health insurance for a while. Then I had a close friend that did not have any health insurance. He had a heart attack, got a stint and he got hit with a huge medical bill for angioplasty and I freaked! I cranked up my PC and when off to the Internet in search of: the best, one of a kind, cheapest, bet your bottom dollar we are the greatest, health insurance plan that I could find! Without losing my shirt, mind you.

Well the story gets a little better here.

After much searching and getting very frustrated by really slow loading insurance sites, you know the ones that the graphics take forever to load, I am on dial-up. Hey, what do expect with unemployment, that I can afford DSL? Not a chance! I really needed to find the best all around medical coverage with the highest deductible and the lowest monthly health insurance premium I could. So I took a chance and tried filling out some online insurance quote forms. Did you know that sometimes there are up to three pages of forms! I got so frustrated with forms and buttons to submit that did not work and did not send the information I filled in; especially after I took 10 minutes to fill the blanky blank form out! Man, I was getting almost to the point of flipping out and walking my fingers through the yellow pages!

I was getting desperate!

Then, someone up there took pity on me. I was able to find a good place to fill out a decent quote form and get a free health insurance quote from a company that had it together. If you search long enough you will find some good sites, with lots of information on health insurance providers, types of health insurance. You can read about HMO, PPO, health saver plans and all that kind of stuff. I checked the bottom part of the sites out and make sure they have been in business for a couple years or so, I felt OK about that.

As I searched around the free quote websites.

I found where many had listed over twenty or more insurance providers and some even had information on insurance for all 50 states. I was impressed. So I followed their easy instructions on How to get your fast no obilgation health insurance quote and clicked on the form that said, fill in your zip code and off I was!

Well I will not stay it was totally painless.

Especially since filling out online forms is a chore. But I did notice that the form loaded relatively fast, the information they requested seemed fair and reasonable and I did get my quote right on time!

They do have a privacy policy pages on the websites.

I did read it, so I felt that they were being up front and straight with me protecting my information and that made me feel safe. But you know what the best thing was? I got my friendly health insurance agents phone numbers and their contact stuff and my quotes via email. I was able to call several agents and pick their brains at my leisure. I took my time and was able to compare health insurance plans at my own speed, in my own way and without being bothered. That was really worth it. They even let me pay for the health insurance plan online!

Now how is that for service!

Just great, and I did not feel I was pressured at all. So do I still have my shirt? Well maybe the sleeves are a little shorter, but you know what? I feel good about my health insurance plan. I know I am safe now that I have health insurance. So if I have a major medical problem I know that my retirement money will not be taken from me because I got stuck with no health insurance and a huge medical bill! Just that thought makes me sleep so much better. So do you need to find health insurance and need it now? Be safe, and just fill in your zip code. Well, here’s to you not losing your shirt! Hey it’s almost Spring and I like shorter sleeved shirts in warmer weather anyway!

Do it for yourself, do it now before it is too late. Please feel free to find more money saving insurance tips and get a free no obligation insurance quote at: Get Free No Obiligation Health Insurance Quote at Business Health Insurance.com By Clicking Here

Don’t Have Health Insurance—You Might Not Beat the Odds

Filed Under (No Health Insurance?) by admin on 08-05-2008

Are You Uninsured?

Have you been working hard, and paying your bills on time your whole life? Saving your money and trying to get ahead looking forward to retiring some day? You read in the paper and hear on the news about so many older Americans that are uninsured, because they can not afford it. Are you one of the uninsured, like I am? So are you worried about having a health care emergency and facing the dire financial consequences of not having health insurance? You can not switch jobs, you feel you are getting too old to be hired by anyone else.

You know you can not or do not want to learn a new skill, to get a new job at a bigger company that has group health insurance. Your employer really can not afford health insurance for his employees and you do not see that changing where you work. You have gotten by this long without health insurance and you know that you should do something about it. But health insurance is expensive and getting health insurance is a good idea and something you have always been planing to do. We just keep putting it off, and are unsure of where to start. So what is a man with a family, or a single person to do if you just barely can find the money in the budget to pay for the necessities, like the rent, or mortgage, the higher price of gas and food, much less expensive health insurance?

Do You Think You Can Beat the Odds?

For men it is one in three, for women one in five that you will have a major health care emergency hospitalization and incur medical bills for surgery, hospital stay, outpatient medical care, therapy and prescription drugs. Ever wonder what you will do if the worst happens and you have to go to the hospital without health insurance?

In a Word. Bankruptcy.

The retirement you worked your whole life for, and dreamed about, the retirement you always envisioned is gone, taken away from you in an instant. And by a calamity you have tried to avoid. A calamity that broad sided you, and you never knew what hit you.

Ever wonder how you are going to pay for the emergency room bill, the hospital bill and the doctor visits, not to mention the prescriptions if you need them?

This Poor Soul Could Be You!

Imagine this scenario, you are 55 been in great shape your whole life, you work hard and live right, do not smoke, eat healthy foods and have been taking care of yourself the best way you know how. But lately you have been getting a little short of breath. You shake your head say it is just getting old and keep right on working on the house, the car, the lawn, the crops or a new project you just have to get done.

Then all of a sudden you feel really short of breath, you stop, sit down and can not breathe. You look down and your arm is feeling funny and tingly. All of a sudden feel a shooting pain running up your arm into your shoulder, ah, just overdoing it again, you say to yourself. I will just rest a spell and it will go away. But this time the pain does not go away like other times. You feel the numbness and worse stabbing pain goes into your shoulder. Quickly the pain intensifies and travels deeper and is shooting across your chest and now you are really scared.

I Wonder if this is a Heart Attack?

You know you waited too long and it is too late. You are in the middle of a heart attack.

You are desperate and in stabbing pain and know calling 911 may save you, if you can get to a phone. You call for your wife and she is inside the house and does not hear you. You try to get up and feel faint and you have no strength and your legs just can not move. You holler louder, it hurts so bad, and she hears you this time. She rushes to your side and you are so short of breath you can not talk, the pain is too great. You point to your chest and she can see by the look on your face you are suffering and in great pain and something is terribly wrong.

She Runs to Call 911

She is frantic about you and tells the ambulance to come right away and she thinks you are having a heart attack. She runs back to your side and you both are terribly scared and all you can do is wait.

The waiting has just begun. Then the ambulance arrives, you find out the very worst has happened. You are having a heart attack, they rush you away to the hospital, taking your vitals and giving you the drugs to save your life. Expensive surgery follows with angioplasty to open up your blocked arteries in your heart.

The doctors say that you should make a good recovery with adequate care and therapy. You will have to take heart medications and high blood pressure drugs the rest of your life. Already the worry has started, and you think to yourself.

How Am I Going to Pay for This? The deep financial worry never leaves you. You have heard stories of financial disasters happening to people having huge bills for heart attack related surgeries in the tens of thousands of dollars. You lost. You did not beat the odds.

Now What Can You Do?

What I just shared happened to my brother, a farmer, bulldozer operator in the prime of life. No health insurance and he is now facing a $46,000 bill he can not pay. Not unless he wants to sell the beautiful log cabin home he built with his own hands and the farm he worked his whole life for. He is tied to heart drugs for the rest of his life. Heart drugs which make him sick. He has decided to sell part of his land to pay the hospital and clinic bills. He hates to do this, but has no choice. He tried to pay the hospital and clinic with payments of a $1,000 a month each, paying every penny he could, but that was not good enough.

Even though he had an agreed upon payment plan, the hospital and the clinic still turned his account over to the collection agencies even though he was paying over $2,000.00 a month. They told him he was not paying off his bill fast enough! He is an honest man who worked hard his whole life and did not deserve this. He can barely afford the heart drugs and makes just enough money so he does not quality for state assisted care or prescription drug benefits.

Now He Is Uninsurable - The Final Blow

One more thing is important. That is not the only calamity. He is not eligible for any type of health insurance for his heart, even if he could afford to pay $850.00 a month for health insurance coverage. Why? Because now, he is uninsurable. In order to be covered under health insurance for his heart right now, he would have to not have any hospital care related to his pre-existing condition for seven years to quality for having that heart condition covered under any health insurance policy. For my brother, he will have to work to harder than ever to pay this debt off. There will be no retirement for him, he is 59 and that is a terribly hard price to pay.

What Does This Mean for You?

Do not wait, do not let a major health problem ruin your chances of retirement. Health care coverage can be purchased and can be budgeted for. If my brother knew what was going to happen, he would have budgeted the money for a health insurance policy. He could have spared a couple thousand a year for an inexpensive health care policy that would have cut the bill he received by a significant amount. When you are lying in bed at night, think of the people you know that have had their lives turned up side down by a health calamity, lost their jobs, their homes and their retirement. This is too big a price to pay. Take care of yourself, your family and protect your retirement. Now more than ever getting an online insurance quote can help you take a step in the right direction for removing most of the worry, about what if a medical emergency happened to you or a loved one.

Would You Be Covered? Let us hope the answer is Yes.

When I got laid off from a great job due to a company downsizing, at the age of 50, I too lost my group health insurance. I went on the Internet and found the folks at www.BusinessHealthInsurance.com. They helped me with getting insurance quotes and figuring out how to compare the quotes and worked to help me find the right health insurance policy that would protect me. Please get some health insurance that will protect you and your loved ones. Knowing something can happen and taking the right steps to protect yourself can help remove some of the worry.

How to Save Money On Your Health Insurance

Filed Under (How To Save Money On Insurance) by admin on 08-04-2008

Looking for a low cost insurance quote?

Many people are looking to the Internet to find lower premiums for their insurance. Money is tight now and saving money on your health insurance by having a lower premium is a good way to save money. If you need an online insurance quote for health, life, auto, home owners, dental or even renter insurance, you can find a fast quote right here. If you are a student, a single person, a man with a family or even a stay-at-home mom, you know we all need insurance to protect us.

Probably the most often search for insurance online is health insurance. We have heard horror stories of the extremely high hospital bills that can be billed to you with an emergency trip to the hospital. Even people that are in good health, that think they do not need health insurance, are at risk. They may try to hide the fact that they are taking a big chance, but they might not beat the odds. Why take the risk of losing your hard earned nest egg or retirement fund? Did you know that bankruptcy due to a medical bills and long term hospital stays is one of the biggest reasons people declare bankruptcy today? It is true.

Are You Thinking of Opting Out of Health Insurance?

More and more Americans are opting out of having health insurance because they say that they just can not afford it. This could be a big mistake. What would you do if the worst happens and you land in the hospital with a huge medical bill you can not pay? Are you prepared to hand over a large sum of money for the bill? Most people would not be able to pay a big hospital bill without cleaning out their savings and dipping into their hard earned retirement funds. Many hospitals turn your unpaid hospital bills over to collection agencies if you can not pay them or you can not pay enough to satisfy the hospital billing department.

The Reality Is This…

If you end up in the hospital for a serious illness or accident you will endure a serious financial burden. Most people are not prepared for this. If you were sick or injured, you can understand that you would lose income from being hurt or sick and being delayed returning to work. But you might be physically crippled or even worse and not be able to work. It is bad enough you are missing work and losing a paycheck to two, but what if you end up needing long term care or rehabilitation due to an severe injury or long term sickness? People lose their homes and all they have worked their whole lives for, their entire savings, due to not being covered by health insurance. Please don’t try to beat the odds. You know how hard it is to pay for the necessities today. We are all in the same boat. Prices have skyrocketed with no end in sight. Do the right thing and take care of yourself and your family and prevent your having severe financial burdens due to untimely hospital bills that are forced upon you.

Are You Stuck with Rising Health Insurance Premiums?

Most people are looking for lower cost health insurance premiums online if they have to pay for their own health insurance. Cutting out the middle man, your insurance agent, may not make you feel good, but times are hard and every nickel saved is important. More employers cannot afford to continue to offer their employees health insurance coverage. Many employers are cancelling paying for employee health coverage plans. Changing jobs is another way you may lose your health care and you may need a fill in or short term health insurance plan to get you through until you find a new job. Even after you find that new job, you have to wait until you are past the initial waiting period of the insurance coverage for your new insurance at work to take affect. Buying a short term health insurance plan is a good option for you to keep you safe.

Are You Shopping for Low Cost Health Insurance Online?

Smart people look online for their health insurance coverage and know that online insurance quotes are big business today. There are many insurance quote websites available to give you a free no-obligation health insurance quote. One of the good things about the Internet search is you are able to easily cost compare health insurance plans and various coverages. You can search online and get the best coverage that is available in a wide range of premiums, co-pays, deductables and prescription coverages.

Lost Your Job? More About COBRA

An option for you if you have to leave or are laid off from a job is COBRA or(Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985). COBRA allows you to keep your health insurance coverage for at least 18 months after you leave your employer. The only catch, is you have to continue to pay the premiums. The costs of the COBRA premiums are very high; generally people are really surprised at how high. We know your employer paid much of the cost of the premium and now the premium may be more than you can afford to pay. Many people can not afford to keep their health insurance with the COBRA plan at this higher rate. You may find you need to go online to buy a lower premium plan to have health coverage now. Unemployment does not go far to cover insurance premiums while you are job hunting or between jobs. Online insurance plans are good buys, and will give you good value for your insurance dollar. Especially if you are self employed or have a job without insurance coverage, online health insurance may be your best option. COBRA is available for laid off employees, their school age children, and their spouses. This coverage only applies if they were previously covered under the employees group plan.

Want to Know More About Indemnity Plans, HMOs, PPOs?

After you start shopping for your online insurance quote, you may find a lot of new and confusing terms. You need to be aware of the differences between Indemnity Plans, HMOs, PPOs and other types of health insurance. Be aware that even a top notch health insurance policy may not cover you for all your medical expenses; but they will certainly ease the burden of paying the hospital bills when they arrive. With eveything these days there are trade-offs. You need to be able to properly compare the low cost health insurance quotes you receive. Knowing the difference in coverages and why a coverage is important or not, for you, are factors you need to know to chose wisely.

We will help you figure out the differences of the main types of health insurance plans and we will help you learn how you can select the right coverage for you and you needs.

So What is An Indemnity Plan?

Indemnity Plans are the plans that allow you the most freedom and generally are the highest cost. Choice comes with a higher price in the premiums you pay. With Indemnity Plans, you have the freedom of choice, to visit the doctor and the hospital you want. Indemnity Plans generally allow you the freedom to get your treatment without prior recommendations. You pay the hospital or doctor office at the time of your treatment or appointment. You submit your claim, and wait to receive your reimbursement from the insurance company.

Is an HMO Plan Right for Me?

Health Maintenace Organizations generally called HMOs, give you your insurance in a package plan for a fixed price. You can chose your primary care physician (PCP) and your specialists. Under this plan you must choose a PCP from among the HMO member physicians. Your primary care physician gives you general medical care. Your PPO must be consulted to make a recommendation for you see a specialist before you see one. The specialist must be a physician who is in the HMO or the insurnace will not cover the charges. Problems can occur with a wait in medical care occuring because of the need for a pre-approval of any treatment or medical attention by a specialist. You may have problems of being denied coverage for a specialist that is out of your HMO.

One of the biggest advantages of having an HMO plan is your health care costs are lower and the medical costs have a known limit. You do not have to fill out nor keep track of your claims or your reimbursement with an HMO plan. A downside is that if you have medical expenses like an emergency which is outside your HMOs network, you may not be covered by your insurance plan. You may find that this plan does not cover as completely as an Indemnity Plan.

Is a PPO Better? Preferred Provider Organizations

A Preferred Provider Organization, or PPO has many of the same benefits as an HMO, lower costs and cost limits. The advantage of a PPO is that you generally will be covered if you have medical care outside of your network, although the amount covered may be much less. Many people prefer a PPO and you need to be aware of the differences cost wise and benefit wise when comparing plans. Making correct comparisions is importat with the different types of insurane plans and their limitations and coverages. We can help you to compare health care coverages by having these articles here on this blog. We want to be sure you buy the best insurance plan for your needs, so you receive the maximum amount of coverage for your insurance dollar.
